This pigeon was at Skegness boating lake, strange little pigeon first he heads down to the waters edge to have a drink and gets bullied by the geese, then he decides to just sit in the water, he was there ages.

Picture of Sea Shore.
It took me ages to get this image. when I decided to take this photograph the tide was continuously rolling in , as soon as I get down on my knees the sea pulls back and I have to sit there in a really uncomfortable precision having every dog walker looking at me funny and their dogs thinking I’m their new play thing. The things I’ll do for art

Seagull at Skegness boating lake. The seagull had just finished dowsing it’s self and I managed to capture a few air born water droplets and the seagull looking cute and puffed up.

Just at the back of the beach opposite the South Parade car park in Skegness there is a bit of waste land. A couple of years ago a pond developed and in the center an island of grass grew, a family of ducks claimed it, but it’s since dried up. Believe it or not summers in Skegness haven’t been as wet as usual.

I captured this Moorhen picture in the late evening in Tower Gardens. I thought it looked interesting stood on the top of the water fall silhouetted against the back drop.

First time I’ve seen a coot on the boating lake, plenty of Moorhen in Skegness, don’t remember seeing any coot’s though. It’s probably just me I suspect I’m not the first person to get Coot’s and Moorhen mixed up

This cormorant is causing quite a stir in Skegness, it was featured in our local paper (The Skegness Standard). A resident had seen it at the boating lake and didn’t know what it was, so I went to see if I could capture a photograph or two of this mysterious water bird. My hubby identified it as a cormorant, though not sure which type.

First visit to the Skegness boating lake and I didn’t spot the cormorant, but a few days later I went for a relaxing walk with my youngest son and we saw it standing on a rocky island in the middle of the lake
Is it just me or do Yellow Ducklings seem to have the odds stacked against them in the wild
When we took this picture, the Skegness Waterway had an algae problem and this little yellow duckling seemed to be struggling a bit in the water without a mother duck, when we went back the next day, it was no where to be seen.
Very sad
