We were lucky enough when the winter weather was at it’s harshest to have a Pied Wagtail come onto our garden to foraging for food right outside my living room full glass door.

Love this picture definitely a personal favourite. One of the main pieces of advise photographer give is to have your main subject of your image to the left or right instead of smack bang in the middle and I couldn’t agree more this picture would have been boring if I had concentrated on the dove alone and not thought about the scene as a whole.

Great photo! I love how the starlings tail feathers are fanned out and the feathers on it’s head are sticking up. The whole photograph has plenty of interest the contrast of colour between the piercing blue sky and the green and purple sheen of the starlings feathers, as well as the wonderful twisting branches of the tree all come together beautifully in this picture and best of all the cheeky character of a starling shines though

Image of Two Pigeons on a Ledge.
Saw these two pigeons on a ledge all fluffed up on a cold winters day, the white pigeon in particular is so cute.

I happened to shoot this picture as I was walking passed someone who was feeding the duck. Seagulls were attacking these poor ducks in the water as well as on land after the food. The ducks gave as good as they got though

My hubby likes this piece of photography, he said the water with the reflections works really well. Me on the other hand I’m not so sure, if it wasn’t for my hubby liking it I don’t think I’d have put it on this picture blog.

This sweet old Blackbird has grey feathers.
I’ve never seen an old blackbird before, I got to watch him take a bath in a stream he was constantly looking up at the sky I assume checking for predators which might explain his success in living to be an old blackbirds.

I took this picture while I was at the beach in Skegness.
This little male house sparrow was sat in a bush at the side of me, I got a great picture when the Sparrow repositioned it’s self so it could take at better look at me taking it’s photograph. I love the sparrows eye it’s in so much detail I’m so used to taking bird images from far away that you never really get to appreciate the detail in something as simple as a birds eye.
