We’ve had a really cold winter this year and it as made birds that you don’t normally see in town centers appear looking for food.
I haven’t seen a Redwing in years, so I was excited to get this shot. My son spotted it first with his keen eyesight.

The day before I took this picture I was out for a late walk with my Hubby and we saw a cluster of about 8 Redwing’s on a football pitch, but it was to dark to fully Identify them, SO the following day I went out and was lucky enough to snap a great picture.
This Pied Wagtail looks so cute, there such adorable little bird I snapped this photo when he was on my garden looking for something to eat. I was so lucky that the wagtail came so close to my window and didn’t mind me taking a quick picture

This picture I took is a bit on the dark side. I took it when the light was fading I like the way the Blue tits chest has been high lighted by the setting sun, but I still would have preferred a better lighter shot.

I took this picture in the hope of capturing on camera a Dove fight, another male had flown into the tree which was aggravating the male and his misses in the picture, all that happened was a lot of hopping from one branch to another then the invading male flew off.

We were lucky enough when the winter weather was at it’s harshest to have a Pied Wagtail come onto our garden to foraging for food right outside my living room full glass door.

Love this picture definitely a personal favourite. One of the main pieces of advise photographer give is to have your main subject of your image to the left or right instead of smack bang in the middle and I couldn’t agree more this picture would have been boring if I had concentrated on the dove alone and not thought about the scene as a whole.

Great photo! I love how the starlings tail feathers are fanned out and the feathers on it’s head are sticking up. The whole photograph has plenty of interest the contrast of colour between the piercing blue sky and the green and purple sheen of the starlings feathers, as well as the wonderful twisting branches of the tree all come together beautifully in this picture and best of all the cheeky character of a starling shines though
