When my husband saw this picture he said it looked like whale tails in the over flowing water, I think they looked like snake tongues. What do you think.

The cloud formations in the sky gave the illusion of clouds stretching into the distance as far as the eye can see. One of those clouds formations that makes you feel small and insignificant.

Look what we made!. Me and the kids spent a very wet (torrential rain) day on the beach and made this despite being drenched to the bone we had loads of fun and created something special. We had a lucky find for the seals nose we used a hollowed out crab shell.

The sea had uncovered a hidden rock pool it was full of crab, star fish and shrimp, 2 months later it had been covered up again. I love the ever changing land scape of the coast there’s always something new to see.

You can’t see it very well on the image but the tide was coming in over a bank of sand. I suppose it was one of those you had to be there moments.

I have no idea if these star fish got washed up into this pool on there own, or if it was due to human intervention. What I can tell you is that it was on the same day we saw the 12 finger star fish and that there were several groupings along the stretch of beach in this pool as many as 9 in one group we saw.

Unfortunately my camera ran out of batteries so couldn’t take any pictures of the others
There were a lot of star fish groups along the mile stretch of water so either someone had been very busy or there was another reason.
None of us had ever seen one of these before. I didn’t even know they could have that many arms.
