Picture of Angel at St Clements Church Skegness.
This was the best tombstone in the cemetery we visited. she’s lost part of a wing but apart from that she’s withstood the test of time. All to often these beautiful statues are destroyed by mindless vandals. I am not a religious person, but it breaks my heart when i see one that has been smashed and makes me angry when i think about the lack of respect these people have shown to someone else’s loved one

I’m sorry for not answering sooner, my hubby monitors my site and he doesn’t always tell me when I’ve had a comment.
It was taken in Skegness at St Clements Church, but I’m afraid she as suffered vandalism and her head is now missing

It´s indeed a shame how people tread beautiful things like that! But there isn´t really much you can do to stop it .. =’(
Good that you’ve got this picture taken before the head-incident took place..
